LOCTITE

Water-base ore-applied thread-locking or sealing solution

  • Environmentally Friendly:

    • Water-Base Carrier: Loctite’s use of a water-base carrier for the solute is a distinctive feature. This makes the adhesive more environmentally friendly compared to solvent-based alternatives. Water-based carriers are generally less harmful to the environment and reduce the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
  • Lubricating Properties:

    • Preventing Galling and Corrosion: One of Loctite’s unique attributes is its lubricating properties. By preventing galling (wear and tear between metal surfaces) and corrosion on metal, Loctite not only acts as an adhesive but also contributes to the longevity and performance of the connected components. This is particularly beneficial in applications where metal-to-metal contact is common.
  • Chemical Resistance:

    • All Oils (Motor, ATF): Loctite’s chemical resistance to various oils, including motor oil and automatic transmission fluid (ATF), is advantageous in automotive and machinery applications where exposure to these fluids is common.
    • Water: The resistance to water is crucial for applications where the bonded surfaces may come into contact with moisture or undergo changes in environmental conditions.
    • Glycol: Resistance to glycol is important in applications where coolants or antifreeze solutions are present.
    • Petrol and Diesel: Chemical resistance to petrol and diesel ensures the adhesive’s stability and performance in applications involving contact with these fuels.

NYLON

Reusable and adjustable pre-applied patching solutions

    1. Blue in Color:

      • The distinctive blue color of the nylon material can serve as a visual identifier. This can be particularly useful in manufacturing or assembly processes where color coding helps workers quickly distinguish between different types of fasteners or components.
    2. Liquid or Powder-Base:

      • The versatility of having nylon available in both liquid and powder forms provides flexibility in application. Liquid forms may be more convenient for certain manufacturing processes, while powder forms could be advantageous in other scenarios. The choice between the two may depend on specific application requirements.
    3. Reusable up to Five Times after Unscrewed:

      • The reusability feature suggests that the nylon material allows for adjustments and disassembly without compromising its effectiveness. This can be valuable in situations where fasteners need to be periodically adjusted, removed, and reinstalled. The ability to reuse the material multiple times enhances cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
    4. Suitable for Fasteners that Require Adjustments:

      • The primary advantage highlighted here is the suitability of this nylon material for fasteners that require adjustments. It suggests that the material provides a balance between securing the fastener in place and allowing for easy adjustments when needed. This feature is particularly beneficial in applications where fine-tuning or periodic changes are common.

  • good adhesion on many substrates
  • available to apply on a wide range of bolt sizes
Why Pre-applied Patching

Pre-applied patching, thread locking, and sealing collectively contribute to a more robust and reliable fastening system. The pre-applied patching ensures that the threaded fasteners are equipped with anti-vibration properties from the start. Thread locking adds an extra layer of security by preventing self-loosening due to external forces or vibrations. Simultaneously, sealing helps create a barrier against the ingress of contaminants, moisture, or gases, preserving the integrity of the joint.

Enquiry to process

The following chart will illustrate the general process of our screw patching service.

1. Incoming

This is the initial stage where screws from clients are received. Proper documentation and inspection at this stage ensure that you have the correct quantity and type of screws for processing.

2. Cleaning

Cleaning is essential to remove any contaminants or residues on the screws. A clean surface ensures better adhesion of the pre-applied patching, thread locker, and sealant in the subsequent steps.

3. Pre-Heat

This is the initial stage where screws from clients are received. Proper documentation and inspection at this stage ensure that you have the correct quantity and type of screws for processing.

4. Patching

This step involves applying the pre-applied patching material to the screws. The patching material provides resistance against loosening due to vibrations, and its application at this stage ensures uniform coverage.

5. Checking

The checking stage is critical to ensure the quality and consistency of the applied patching, thread locking, and sealing. Inspections may include visual checks, measurements, or other quality control procedures to guarantee that each screw meets the specified standards.

6. Packing

Once the screws pass the quality checks, they are packed for shipment back to the client. Proper packaging is essential to prevent damage during transit and to maintain the integrity of the applied patching, thread locker, and sealant.
